The University of Macedonia (UoM) is a public institution in Greece with more than 60 years of history. UoM is considered as one of the top Universities in Greece to study Accounting and Finance. The University places particular emphasis in the quality of its faculty members and its graduates, promoting the active participation in the shaping of new knowledge through state of the art research and by offering programs with close relevance to the professional world. The University currently has more than 12.000 students enrolled and is a contemporary and extrovert institution, hosting several international exchange students and the first English-speaking BSc in Accounting and Finance offered by a Greek public university.
The University of Macedonia has a modern infrastructure which includes, among others, a library of international standards, a student restaurant serving three meals a day including weekends, a cafeteria, a basketball court, a gym and accessibility options for students with disabilities. The University premises are located at the city centre of Thessaloniki and are accessible through several transportation options, including a dedicated Metro station. Thessaloniki is considered as one of the best cities to study in Greece: it is safe, affordable, full of culture and character, it is known for its local cuisine and entertainment options, while it is located near popular summer and winter destinations.
